Still Feeling The Chalkboard Love

I didn't realize the depth of chalkboard love out in cyberspace until I was "invited" to join pinterest and I saw all of the pins. This also may seem a little ridiculous but I hadn't read too many blogs until I started this blog. I read a few fashion blogs but not really decorating blogs. I had no idea there were so many  out there. After I check my facebook, email and pinterest I check out my favorite blogs. Many of them are buzzing about chalkboards.
I broke down and bought some chalkboard paint and decided to try a few of the projects I have seen on pinterest. It was 16.00 for a quart.

Here are the projects I did.
flower pot
crate for my pantry project Here:
coffee mug $1.99 at Tuesday Morning
galvanized tub for pantry (I don't like the grape picture so I'll paint over it.)

I taped off the area I wanted to paint with scotch tape.
I painted one coat.

The crate came out cute and now holds popcorn.
I love the chip tub.

I am also wild about the flower pot.

The coffee mug was a fail. It started to chip as soon as the paint was dry.

You may have seen my initial blog post about chalkboards.
Here:
I've been inspired to keep adding touches around the house.
I have used almost every remnant of that little child's chalkboard in little gold frames.

I have one more to show you for my office, but I am doing some other memo boards for that room. I want to show them all at once.
I also got this adorable heart from Michael's
This antique spice cabinet from my grandparents is really one of my favorite things. I love hanging seasonal stuff on the pulls.

I did these cute hearts for my team at work. I showed them off when I talked about this wonderful cupcake recipe. Here:

My paperwhites should bloom in a few days. I think this is my favorite of the bunch! Have fun creating some chalkboard magic for yourself.

Sprinkled with chalkboard love,
Katie
